No More Throw Away Children Walk

As a team captain, your role is to recruit and rally your organization, friends, neighbors, co-workers, and family members to raise money to support meaningful after-school programs to low performing students and students in alternative schools.

The goal of the "Walk" is to unite the community around the theme: "No More Throw Away Children," to raise money to provide meaningful after-school and parent involvement programs, and to teach sensitivity to those serving low-income, poor and minority students. What does "No More Throw Away Children" mean to you?

As team captain you will be apart of a marketing campaign targeted to Southeast Raleigh to rally the community around our children. This campaign will consist of public service announcements, a televised Padeia discussion, ads in our souvenir booklet, and vending during the morning of the event. The marketing campaign begins with a formal discussion on the role of students, parents, educators, agencies, non-profits and business leaders in the fight against bullying. Team Captains will serve as panel members in this Padiea that will air on Raleigh Television Network. Team captains, lead by students in our program; will also create a public service annoucements that will spread awareness around your organizations role in combating bullying.
